Privacy Policy

Effective: 9 November 2026

Calendar Bharat (calendarbharat.com) is a free Hindu calendar, panchang and holiday website for India. This policy explains what personal data is processed when you use the site, why, and what you can do about it. It is written for the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025, which are coming into force in phases, and for the Information Technology Act, 2000.

Who is responsible

The data fiduciary is the operator of calendarbharat.com. You can reach us through the contact page or by e-mail at [email protected].

What we process

  • Server logs. Our web server records the IP address, browser (user agent), the page requested, the referring page and the time of each request. We use these logs only to keep the site secure, stop abuse and fix errors. They are rotated daily and deleted after at most 14 days.
  • Cloudflare. The site is delivered through Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., USA), a content delivery and security service. Cloudflare processes your IP address and request data to deliver and protect the site; see the Cloudflare privacy policy.
  • Messages you send. If you use the contact form or write to us, we receive your name, e-mail address and message. We use them only to reply and keep them only as long as the conversation needs.
  • Settings kept in your browser. Your chosen city, the Purnimanta or Amanta month setting and anything you type into the printable planners are stored in your own browser (local storage). They are never sent to us, and clearing your browser data removes them.

You do not need an account, and we do not ask for your date of birth or other details to use the calculators: the age calculator works only in your browser, and the date of birth you enter in the tithi tool becomes part of the page address, so it appears in the server logs described above like any other request and is not stored anywhere else.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

The site shows ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar identifiers to show ads and to measure them, including ads based on your earlier visits to this and other websites. Read how Google uses data from sites that use its services and how Google uses cookies in advertising. You can turn off personalised ads in My Ad Center. Visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland see Google's consent message before personalised ads are shown.

What we do not use

We do not run analytics or tracking tools of our own, we do not sell personal data, and we do not show a cookie banner because we set no cookies ourselves. Fonts, images and scripts are served from our own server, not from Google Fonts or other font services; apart from Cloudflare, which delivers the site, the only third-party requests are those made by the Google ad code.

Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you may ask us for a summary of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or erase it, withdraw consent you have given, and nominate another person to act for you. Send the request through the contact page; we will reply within the time the law sets. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India, constituted under the DPDP Act (details on the website of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, meity.gov.in).

Children

The site is meant for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children (under 18 under the DPDP Act); if a child has written to us, a parent can ask us to delete the message.

Changes

When this policy changes we update it on this page and change the effective date above.
